You will need a set (four) of double pointed needles to knit this pattern. Size 3 %. US 5), or size 4 (US 6) will work depending on the weight of your yarn.
Cast on 3 stitches, leaving 6 inches of yarn to finish off nipple***
Move stitches across needle to other end and pull wool to back, Knit 3 stitches.
Repeat this row once on large needle (size 6) and twice on small needles (size 5)
You will have three stitches on needle, and yarn work will appear ‘cord like’.
Using I’t needle- knit into front & back of first stitch, repeat with each of the other two
stitches and two needles.
**(knitting into the front and back of stitches makes one stitch).**
You should end up with two stitches on each of three needles.
Using 4th needle – increase one stitch by knitting into the front and back of the first stitch.
Knit one stitch.
Repeat using second and third needles.
You should now have 3 stitches on each needle
Next round and following rounds
